Infinix, which is manufactured by a sibling to Tecno and Itel. Though Infinix is one of the low budget smartphones at the moment. Due to their low price and amazing feature, it has proven challenging in the market. Due to the competitiveness in the market, Infinfix decided to launch Hot 7 Pro. It boasts amazing features like 6GB RAM but the dual camera setup isn’t among, we could not ask much since it’s a low-end smartphone. It has a premium design which looks quite fancy, it makes it a little difficult to differentiate from top-tier smartphones. Let’s walk you through the in-depth feature of Infinix Hot 7 Pro.

Design & Display
Premium Design
Large Display Size

As said earlier it has a premium design, Hot Pro 7 has 6.19-inch HD+ display. It has a screen resolution of 720x1500 pixels which is quite vibrant, bright and colorful enough. It automatically makes the content very eligible to read and view. It has a screen dimension of 153.90 x 74.80 x 7.90. It weighs 159.00 and has an aspect ratio of 19:9. It also has Pixels per inch (PPI) of 269. It also comes with the outdated notch at the front which is quite wider than the recent ones which use the waterdrop notch. The wide notch is present due to the ability to accompany dual selfie flash which is quite amazing, even though the notch looks a bit outdated. The rear panel is made with metal; the metal makes it look like top-tier smartphones. Inifinix Hot 7 Pro is available only in three colors which is Mocha Brown, Midnight Black and Aqua Blue which is the most common set of smartphone colors recently. The smartphone almost looks bezel-less.

On the right side of Hot 7 Pro, you’ll see the power button and volume keys, while on the left you’ll see SIM trays. The SIM tray requires a bit of pinch which a tiny device to pull it out. After pulling out you can insert dual SIM and a microSD card. At the bottom, you’ll see the Micro-USB port and the volume rockers. The volume keys seem a bit high to reach, it will require a mere stretch to reach. It really entertaining that Infinix hasn’t overlooked the common headphone jack. It still has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Infinix Hot 7 Pro rear is made up of a metal rim, which makes the lens free from scratch. Even though we recommend you buy a case to still keep from your phone on the safer side. It also has dual camera setup with a LED flash, it also has a fingerprint scanner which is fast and quick enough like its contemporary. It is one of the most common security locks you can use but seems better than face unlock. The fingerprint scanner is quick to reach and well positioned, during our test we found out that our finger rested on it perfectly.

High Storage Capacity
Supports Expandable Storage

Infinix Hot 7 Pro boasts high storage capacity looking at the price range, it has a RAM of 6GB and internal storage of 64GB. It has enough storage space to store bulks audios, videos, and documents you’ll need. Though you still have to keep an eye on the storage. We highly recommend you get expandable storage if you are addicted to downloading high-quality movies because of the space it consumes.

Hot 7 Pro supports expandable storage of about 256GB with the help of a microSD card.

Dual Camera Setup (Rear & Selfie)
Average Photo Quality

Infinix Hot 7 Pro comes with dual camera setup for both the selfie and back camera. It consists of a 13MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and a depth sensor of 2MP with an aperture of f/2.0. The camera app has a quick interface and its simple to use. It has different modes such as Beauty, AR Shot, Bokeh Video, and HDR. The modes listed above can be enabled wit7h a quick toggle.

Images taken with Infinix Hot 7 Pro is below average, even though it is enhanced by AI (Artificial Intelligence). The images captured were overexposed, especially images taken in bright light. The HDR mode enhances this issue but isn’t as perfect as we expected. Macro shots taken with Hot 7 Pro were a bit decent, but the focus isn’t as quick as its contemporary eg. Xiaomi. It has rear autofocus and a Front LED flash. Bokeh mode isn’t as effective as we thought, it has decent edge detection but it gives users the ability to tweak this feature, by choosing blur level before taking shots. As said earlier it isn’t very effective, sometimes the application of blur on space between the hand and the body refuse to work.

Images taken in a low-light environment were pretty good, even though the images kept a bit of noise. Hot 7 Pro is a bit slow while locking at night, you need a bit of patience from you to take bright shots. Selfies were a bit decent also, the background was overexposed when taken in daylight. Portrait shots taken with the front camera were a bit better, thanks to the help of the depth sensor. Depth sensor improves differentiate the object from the subject due to the blur effect.

Video recording is taken with 1080p quality for both the rear and selfie camera. Video recorded lacks stabilization and were a bit shaky not to even talk about lagging record.

Large Battery Capacity
No Fast Charging

Hot 7 Pro comes with 4000mAh battery capacity; it has the ability to last all day long even for heavy users, not to talk of average users. During our test we tried surfing the web for few hours, using social media such as WhatsApp and trying to take some shots, we also turned on our GPS and connectivity, for almost day the battery dropped to 40%. It also supports 10W charging ability, the annoying part is that it does not support quick charge. Hot 7 Pro took 2 hours and a half to charge fully from 0% to 100%.

Interface & Performance
Android 9 Pie
Lagging Performance

Hot 7 Pro comes with Android 9 Pie with Huawei stocked version of XOS 5. I also come with few preinstalled apps such as Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Opera News, Flipkart, and PHX Browser, not to forget the Google apps. Hot 7 Pro comes with an alternative to Google Play Store which is Palm store. Some of the apps pop up annoying notification which you really need to disable which are timely, in order to disable this, you can read through this article – “How To Disable Notifications On Android”.

It has quick UI (User Interface), thanks to the Huawei stock version which is XOS 5, it has more features than the stock version of Android. The Game Boost boots CPU performance while running games, it also helps to clear the RAM and block notifications most especially WhatsApp and Messenger notification which is quite annoying while gaming. It also has bike mode which disables incoming calls and auto replies with text. Not to forget the preinstalled freezer app which gives the user the ability to freeze apps to stop them from running in the background.

The 6GB RAM isn’t as useful as we expected, but the Helio p22 SoC brings a cutting edge. The performance isn’t much different from Infinix S4 – “Full Review On Infinix S4”. The experience was a bit decent, and it’s also a bit quicker while loading apps. The large RAM brings about multiple multitasking without much sign of lagging.
The Security Locks were pretty quick such as the fingerprint scanner and face unlock. The face unlock seems a bit slow in a dark environment we recommend you use the front flash. Infinix Hot 7 Pro score higher than it's contemporary such as Infinix S4 did. The smartphone scored 79,283 in AnTuTu, and also managed 819 and 3,864 in Geekbench's single-core and multi-core tests respectively. It scored 10,580 in 3D Mark Ice Storm Unlimited and 28fps in GFXBench T-Rex. The performance while playing 3D games was a bit sluggish, games like PUGB, GTA run on its lowest graphics preset.

Infinix Hot 7 Pro is an amazing smartphone with top-tier features such as 6GB RAM and also supports expandable storage. It has poor performance and camera ability. It has a large battery capacity of about 4000mAh and premium design.

The quick performance isn’t the same when it comes to multitasking large apps. The camera is poor when it comes to daylight photos it looks overexposed. Low light photos have a lot of noise. You can improve the low-light performance with some few tweaks. If you think the features worth the money, why don’t you go for it?
