How To Disable/Enable Google Play Protect (Screenshot)


A lot of people don't realize the essence of Google Play Protect on their smartphones. It's an app that blocks the installation of unknown apps which can actually harm your device. Google Play Protect also scan apps that possess malware, and things that can harm your phone or phone data. Sometimes the protection is too strict because it deprives you of installing apps that you really need. Google Play Protects stops app like Lucky Patcher, King Root and other apps that can actually modify the system setting.



You may ask, What is Google Play Protect?
It is an app that is enabled on newly released Android versions (OS)  by default. Older Android version doesn't have this feature. Basically, it is a vital feature that Google use to stop harmful apps and malware on your smartphone.

Steps to Disable Google Play Protect 

Step 1: Search for Google Play Store and open it.



Step 2: Click on the three horizontal lines on the top left.



Step 3: Look for "Play Protect", when you actually see it click on it.



Step 4: You'll see a setting icon on the top right click on it.



Step 5: Find "Scan device for security threats" and Disable it.




Step 6: After doing so, you've successfully disabled Google Play Protect.

After installing the app it is strictly advisable to enable it. Google Play Protect scans threats on your device which can cause harm to your privacy and security. This app continuously keeps an eye for suspicious and malicious activity from such apps. Google Play Protect helps a lot because it disables app that anonymously leaks your device data. This is the main reason why it is strictly advisable to turn it on immediately you've installed the app you disabled it for.
